27. Authenticity vs. Positivity

Dear Guides,

Is it valuable to communicate authentically, to acknowledge and share with others the struggles we’re going through? If so, how do we do it without creating a negative story? If we stick to only expressing the positive in order to reinforce the positive, are we glossing over the opportunity to learn and grow from our challenges and are we cutting off our human, authentic connection to others?

Excerpt from Minda’s channeling on 3.22.2010:

Dear ones,

First let us say that authenticity is the most beautiful color that can halo you humans, shine forth from you, ground you, connect you to Source and to each other. It is the whole reason for your being on this planet, to become more and more in touch with who you really are.

But who you are on the deepest level. Not just the surface person as you may see yourself, but way deeper than that, encompassing all of your great unlimited strength and wisdom and your ability to create on every and any level.

So we would encourage you to follow the path of authenticity, but know that it is far more than what you might see for yourselves in an instant of just glancing around the room. When you want to speak about where you are at, for instance, you can glance around the room and say, “I’m in a chair in an office.” Or you can speak of the house you’re in. Or the city or country you’re in or the planet or solar system.

You can speak of the state of emotions that are passing through you at a given moment. Or you can speak of all the emotions you’ve known and gone beyond, leaving no more than traces in the dust of old pains, hurts, things which have since transformed into much grander or nobler or more constructive expressions of Self.

. . .

There is so much latitude possible regarding how you express this. Yes, it can be expressed through whining and as a victim. Or it can be spoken with full power and taking responsibility, even while you are totally raw and authentic.

You can express the journey you are going on, and how you see the aspects of the problem. You can use the opportunity to express and release your pain and difficulty, all the while or afterwards trying to view the situation from a broader perspective, moving out into wider and wider circles of understanding, seeing it in the bigger picture, and seeing how this problem will bring you greater benefits as you pass into resolving it.
